Colosseum - a symbol of the power of the Roman Empire, the most recognizable monument of the Eternal City, the largest ancient amphitheater in the world.
Interestingly, it took only 10 years to build the Colosseum (AD 70-80). The facility was used for gladiators' games, performances, shows, and even staging sea battles. However, it should not be forgotten that the Colosseum is above all a monument of extraordinary cruelty, a place of suffering for a huge mass of people and animals.
Despite centuries of fate, the Colosseum still remains one of the most impressive buildings in Europe, attracting crowds of tourists with an aura of mystery, the majesty of ancient ruins and surprising resistance to the passage of time.
A laser-engraved image showing the cross-section of the amphitheater makes an extraordinary and sophisticated home and office decoration.
